On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Tartu Peace Treaty , the publisher Book of the Year published the book “The Cross of Liberty”.

The book was printed in Printon. It is hardcover and covered with a dark Bamberger Kaliko. The covers are decorated with a silver foil and a sticker with the cross of Liberty.

The book gives a comprehensive overview of the first decoration of the Republic of Estonia – the Estonian Cross of Liberty, which was founded in February 1919 and completed in January 1920. Illustrated with almost 200 photos.

The work was compiled by Taavi Veiler and Indrek Ilomets, designed by Kalle Toompere and edited by Mart Orav.

The sale of this book will help raise money for the Carolin Illenzeer Foundation. The aim of the Carolin Illenzeer Fund is to collect financial and social assistance resources to support the children of the members of the Estonian Defence Forces who have been killed or severely injured in the line of duty. The guiding principles of the Fund are kindness and good will in order to help cover the schooling costs or support the hobby activities of the children of the members of the Estonian Defence Forces who have fought for Estonia.

There are brief summaries at the end of the book in English, German, Finnish and Russian.
